WHEN DOES FAITH PAY

Heb 11:4-10

Introduction:

1.  We are Saved by Faith.

2. We Live by Faith.

3. We Walk by Faith.

4. We are Purified by Faith.

5. We are Justified by Faith.

I)      WHEN STORMS OF LIFE ARE RAGING

A)    HE HAVE SOMETHING TO HOLD.

1)    We have God’s Promises.

2)    We have God’s Provision.

3)    We have God’s Protection.

B)    WE HAVE SOMETHING TO HELP.

1)    We have God’s Power.

2)    We have God’s Presence.

3)    We have God’s Peace.

II)    WHEN SICKNESS IN LIFE IS REAL

A)    THE DREADED WORD TERMINAL

1)    If any of your family have ever heard this word it is scary.

2)    Doctor’s don’t know it all - This news is Earth Shattering.

B)    THE DISCOURAGING WORD - SICKNESS

1)    People have had a rare disease for years 

2)    Niece has M.S. - Now for 15 years…

III)  WHEN SINS OF LIFE ARE REALIZED

A)    FIRST - THE REALIZATION OF SIN.

1)    We can never be saved until we realize we are sinners.

2)    Realize without Jesus we are Hell Bound.

B)    SECOND - THE REPENTANCE OF SIN.

1)    It is by Faith we repent of sin.

2)    Tell God we are sorrow for our sin.

C)   THE RECEPTION OF FORGIVENESS

1)    By Faith we know God hears our Prayers 

2)    Sees our heart & accepts us as repentant

D)   THE REJOICING OVER HIS GRACE.

1)    By Faith we can rejoice in the Lord.

2)    Rejoice knowing He has forgiven & saved

IV)  CONCLUSION:  Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

A)    Some Christians are Weak in Faith.  Rom 14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations

B)    Some Christians have Little Faith  Mt 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

C)   Some Christians have Great Faith.  Mt 8:10 Jesus said to them..Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

D)   Some Christians have Mustard Seed Faith  Mt 17:20  Jesus said unto them..If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
